Special Processes and Quality Knowledge Hub

Search a curated engineering knowledge library spanning special processes, quality, materials, inspection, manufacturing, safety and aerospace/defence. Every record links directly to a recognised institute, association, standards body, technical organisation, publication, handbook, Body of Knowledge or other established engineering resource.

How to use the Knowledge Hub

1. Choose the knowledge area

Select Quality or Special Processes. For special processes, use the process/subject filter to move directly into welding, heat treatment, NDT, plating, anodising, composites, additive manufacturing and other technical areas.

2. Search curated resources

Search by engineering concept, failure mode, process, standard family, organisation or quality tool. Results link directly to recognised technical organisations and established knowledge holdings.

3. Open the source

Resources include institutes, associations, standards bodies, government technical pages, Bodies of Knowledge, handbooks, journals, guidance, standards libraries and specific technical publications.

4. Build a Knowledge Pack

Add useful records to your pack. It is saved locally in the browser and can be printed to PDF with clickable links or exported as CSV.

5. Judge source authority

Authority and access badges help distinguish authoritative bodies, professional institutes, academic publications and established industry technical resources.

6. Verify before application

Never infer a contractual requirement from the hub. Confirm revision, issue, class/type, customer supplement, approved source and applicability at point of use.

Source and curation strategy

Direct-resource policy: the Knowledge Hub is a curated directory of known engineering organisations and specific knowledge holdings. It intentionally avoids generated search links and generic scholarly-search routes.
