AS7767 Theory Examination

Formal open-book theory examinations for Special Process personnel qualification aligned with the principles of AS7767. Role-specific exams from over 48,000 multiple-choice questions across 22 Process categories within the Special Processes Institute Body of Knowledge (BoK). Successful candidates may receive a qualification certificate, valid only within the organisation administering the examination and not as independent third-party certification or accreditation.

Examination rules and candidate briefing

This is an open-book examination. You may consult applicable procedures, specifications, standards and approved technical references. The assessment remains individual work: do not obtain answers from another person, share questions, copy the question bank, use automated answer-generation tools, or photograph/record the examination.
Pass mark: at least 80%. A higher company requirement may apply outside this app.
Time limit: 30 minutes for 20 questions, 40 minutes for 25, or 45 minutes for 30.
Question coverage: randomly drawn general and process-specific questions, including procedures, specifications, equipment and controls where present in the BoK.
Answer review: you may move between questions, flag items and review every answer before final submission.
Re-examination: a failed attempt uses a different set where the bank permits. Additional training should address weak areas first.
Recommended waiting period: normally at least 30 days after failure, with no more than three re-examination attempts in one year unless your organisation defines otherwise.
Validity: successful qualification is valid for 5 years unless otherwise specified.
Records: attempts and successful certificate issue details are sent to the protected SPI examination record service.
The app provides the theory component described in AS7767 section 5. It does not itself establish practical competence. Where a practical examination is required, it must be separately proctored and recorded by the organisation.
