Assess whether the product, production definition, manufacturing system, people, tooling, equipment, quality controls, special processes, suppliers and capacity are genuinely ready to deliver conforming product at the required rate. This app uses evidence-based gates, risk-ranked actions and a formal readiness decision so a high completion percentage cannot hide a critical production blocker.

What a Production Readiness Review Does
A decision about production capability — not a paperwork completion exercise.
Production readiness means more than being able to build one conforming item. The production system should have a stable definition, practical plans, capable resources, qualified people, suitable tools and facilities, effective quality controls, manageable supply-chain risk and sufficient capability to produce the required quantity at the required rate.

Gate logic
A mandatory production gate can prevent release regardless of the overall percentage. This avoids averaging away critical risk.
Quality at rate
Capacity is not just theoretical cycle time. Consider yield, rework, changeover, maintenance, staffing, special-process queues and inspection.
Production-intent trial
Where appropriate, use production people, equipment, tooling, documentation, materials and inspection methods during pilot/run-at-rate evidence.
Risk based
Not every open item has equal consequence. Critical blockers and high-risk gaps need explicit disposition before production release.
Independent decision
The app supports a review-board decision; it does not replace contractual, customer, regulatory or authorised engineering approval.
Strong PRR outcome: stable production configuration, controlled manufacturing planning, available resources, capable processes, qualified suppliers and people, credible rate evidence, closed critical issues and accepted residual risk.
Do not confuse completion with readiness: a project can be 95% complete and still be NOT READY if a critical gate such as an unvalidated special process, unavailable inspection capability or unstable production definition remains open.
