Scientific Management → Frank & Lillian Gilbreth → Motion Study → Lillian Gilbreth’s Psychology & Fatigue Study → Ergonomics / Human Factors → safer, more reliable and more sustainable work design.
The Gilbreths’ work on unnecessary motion and fatigue is historically relevant to later Lean concerns with wasted motion and overburden. This app treats that as a conceptual lineage, not a claim that Toyota terminology such as muri was directly derived from Gilbreth.
